IC:
Character Name: Ticky Mikk (Slick)

Canon: D. Gray-man (Manga)

AU/OC/Previous Game: Previous game- Brought over following escaping Sabra la Tau

Age: 28ish

Appearance: Tall, white, dark brown curly hair that goes to a bit over his shoulders, blue eyes. Has a large scar bisecting his torso, and a couple more on his right arm. Is very attractive.

Cause of Death: Slick was so powerful that really only his canonmates could have killed him. So he won't remember, and he will probably assume the Noah were responsible.

Impact of Death: Nooot a lot. Slick was like 70% sure that the Earl or his family would track him down and kill him for being a traitor anyway, so being right is really not a huge surprise. He also more or less gave up on his life a while ago, and he knows he doesn't deserve any better, so he just can't find a lot of ground to be cranky about it. Also, Slick is really good at accepting what he can't change, so after an initial 'well, fuck', he will just go on with his life as usual. He'll probably indulge his unhealthy coping mechanisms really hard (minus the murder ones), but also be in a better mood overall, because knowing that your life is over, when you lived a pretty rotten one, is kind of refreshing.

Character Info: Note that a fair amount of Ticky's past is headcanon, because Hoshino never tells us anything.

Ticky was an orphan as soon as he was born, but ran away from the poor orphanage he grew up in at a fairly young age. He's been living on the streets and taking care of himself, or living with other street urchins, since he was six or so. It was a rough life, and a variety of pretty gd awful things happened to him, including but not limited to: rape, stabbings, and near starvation on more than one occasion. However, when he hit his reflective teenage years, he came to realize that humans were basically the same everywhere. Being poor didn't prevent you from being happy, and being rich didn't stave off sadness. Every type of person could be kind, cruel, lonely, or in love, and in the end Ticky was pretty content with his place in life, because he had freedom and friends, and if he worked hard, he could survive. He was responsible for himself, and even if he couldn't change the fact that he was a nobody in the eyes of society, he had power over his own happiness; maintaining friendships, taking care of himself and those who were important to him.

When Ticky was about sixteen he was suddenly taken over by a Noah, or rather, a memory of Noah, that flood guy. He was one of thirteen people in a generation to be consumed by this memory, and basically overwhelmed and driven mad by it. It didn't happen all at once, because Ticky's Noah memory was 'pleasure'. But while it did encourage and take pleasure in things like ripping humans to pieces and torturing them and having power over them and making them cry, it also took pleasure in all of the things Ticky himself enjoyed. Sex, friendship, smoking, doing a job well. Because Ticky wasn't born crazy it took a while for him to give into the Noah in increments, and eventually he split himself into basically two people as his last line of sanity defense. He indulged the Noah, came to relish in it and lost probably 99% of his sense of guilt, but only his 'black life' which he lived with the other Noah, his family. In his white life, he continued to be a kind of derpy sticky-fingered hobo who looks out for his friends. Though he didn't actually develop DID, he lived as if he had, keeping a firm divide between the two lives he loved and couldn't let go of. However, ultimately in his heart he accepted that he was a villain and he was hella helping destroy this world... because it was really the only option left to him, he might as well embrace it. Enjoy it.

When canon gets to introducing Ticky he is about 26 and one of the most dangerous Noah. He floats somewhere between being a magnificent bastard; all three piece suits and top hats and white gloves with flourishing movements and gentlemanly speech, and the hobo he is at heart; dropping into surprised cursing or exclamations, muttering about the brats in his family, or deciding to just hang around and chat while smoking. He has an artist's way of killing, with an eye for morbid beauty and an enjoyment of theatrics, but he can generally be knocked out of this grandiose mode by not responding as he expects. The rule of thumb with Ticky is that if you feed into his delusions, he will keep rolling with them just for the fun of it, and gradually lose more and more control. But in truth enough of him is still sane that he can take a step back and realize what he is doing. Of course, since he usually is there to kill, 'snapping him out of it' doesn't save lives so much change how you die.

And Ticky is suuupper crazy. But he is also probably as sane as he can be while literally having someone else's powerful, ancient, psychotic memory fucking around with his own memories. He is the only Noah who considers the Noah themselves human, instead of something more, or something better. He openly admits he is villain, and recognizes the difference between good and evil, he just considers it to ultimately be irrelevant because the Noah are too powerful to stop.

Throughout the course of canon, Ticky fails to kill Allen Walker (the hero), has Allen fail to save him from his Noah, and in the end they arrive somewhere at a weird frenemies relationship, where Ticky is openly fond of Allen in an abusive relationship sort of way, and Allen accepts his help because he is just too far up shit creek to do otherwise. The flavors of canon hint that Ticky might eventually switch to the Allen side of the fight, and there is some weird shit going on with Ticky and Allen and Allen's Noah, but that's neither here nor there.

Old Game Info: I apped Ticky at an RP called Sabra la Tau and played him there for roughly two years. Sabra is an RP where all characters start as amnesiacs, and regain their memories through playing games, or in Ticky's case, by serving the amoral 'Judges' who created the games and force the amnesiacs into tortuously awful scenarios to regain their memories. Eventually, if the characters survive Sabra long enough to regain the majority of their memories, they are given the rest along with a single wish, and sent home.

Ticky first arrived on one of the normal teams, and was an ordinary blank, and received the name Slick. He kept that name his entire time there, and it is now how he will introduce himself. Later, when the Judges created a black team called Ophiuchus and filled it with people who would serve them instead of play in games, he switched sides for the creature comforts and general call to be a douchebag.

Because the source of Ticky's insanity was a 'memory' itself, the Noah was not present in Slick's mind for a while, and this allowed him to establish friendships before he became a crazy sadist. Also, since he got the Noah (and his insanity) back in pieces, his support group helped him stay somewhat saneish, and he decided to divorce from the Noah cause (which he never particularly cared about himself), and accepted that the exorcists in Sabra were going to kill his family, and him as well if he didn't take his fate into his own hands.

Ultimately, thanks to the tireless good influences of those around him, Slick used his wish to kill his Noah, but retain his Noah's abilities. He did not wish to undo the effect the Noah had on him, so he still has a dark nature, is pretty sociopathic, a sadist, and is just in general not very mentally stable. But he doesn't have the Noah constantly urging him to be crazier, and he is aware of his own insanity enough to control it if he feels so inclined.

Slick is still the great actor that Ticky was, but he no longer brings it out much. He no longer lives a white or black life. Slick has jumbled it all together and more-or-less 'grown up' from that stage of his life, and though the idea is still important to him in memory, it doesn't influence his day-to-day life, and he no longer sees the world in a dichotomy of white and black.

Outward personality wise, Slick is a dry, sardonic, subdued sort of derp. He enjoys harassing people mildly, and often gets caught up in the irony of a situation, but overall he is very chill, and unless he is being sadistic, it's pretty hard to get a strong emotional reaction out of him. He is, however, better since getting rid of his Noah, he's more likely to be interested in people as individuals again, and is developing an increasing tendency to use sex and alcohol to cope with the high octane pleasure hole left in him after the death of his Noah. However, he is still a sadist, and still kind of obsessed with pleasure, so it's pretty easy for him to slide into being a dick, sometimes even abusive, towards those he loves.

But ultimately, Slick DID choose to abandon the Noah, and did in a way choose to be a 'good guy'. He didn't choose to be 'not crazy' though, so the lines blur. But he would probably help someone in need (and probably also rip the heart out of whoever put them in need to begin with), he probably won't kill anyone who hasn't done anything to deserve it. He will make a genuine effort to live a more-or-less not villainous life, mostly because he decided to/feels like that is his new ‘future’ and he gets oddly dedicated to these ideas.

Important Sabra Relationships!:

Allen Walker - bff, lover, boyfriend, they had a complex and non-monogamous thing going on. They became friends early on due to the fact that without memories they had pretty similar outlooks on things, and then they both found out they had Noah and could look forward to going crazy, before they realized they were also enemies. In the end Allen was a huge support in Slick maintaining as much of his sanity as he did, however, because of the level of Slick's feelings for him, he also caused several of the cracks in Slick's sanity.

Yamamoto Takeshi (TYL Reborn, named River) - River and Slick were partners on Ophiuchus, meaning they were both midbosses together! After River managing to poke Slick during a particular vulnerable time (I guess I am going to go crazy and start enjoy torturing people, NO I DON'T CARE THAT'S FINE, IT'S COOL, WHATEVER) they became friends and fuck buddies and eventually something more serious than that. River was actually probably the biggest cornerstone to Slick's everything, as UNLIKE Allen Walker, he was pretty much nothing but caring and supportive and accepting and actually unconditional love is pretty great.

Pikachu (...Pokemon) - ...Slick loved Pikachu. He peeled oranges for him and Pikachu nodded seriously while Slick bitched about things, it was a great relationship.

Sohma Rin (Fruits Basket) - Slick became very fond of her after he had to take her eyeballs out once and she handled it remarkably well.

Othar (Girl Genius) - One of Slick's earliest relationships. Othar was totally crazy but very caring and supportive and manly and badass and Slick kind of idol worshipped him early on, and later was just extremely fond of him.

Hirohiko (Tenjou Tenge) - A blind member of Ophiuchus who showed up pretty late. Ticky was fond of him and they had an abusive sort of friendship.

Those are the relationships he cares about, there are many others that mostly amounted to 'I picked on them because it was funny'. He would remember their faces, but not their names, or really anything about them other than what they are afraid of.

Abilities (before Powercap): Ticky is a ridic crazy godmode, and Slick kept the majority of those abilities even after he killed his Noah. So he had the ability to reject/accept any matter (except God Matter), so he could pass through things or things could pass through him. He could do this indefinitely, making him basically invincible. He also had an army of cannibalistic butterflies, and the ability to mold his own darkness into lasers or shields.

Abilities (after Powercap):
-He will still be able to reject/accept things, however, the space will be limited (about the size of a basketball) and he can only do it for 1 minute all together through an entire day. Any more and he gets a splitting headache, he can push past this to some degree if necessary, but he'll regret it.
-He can still mold his darkness, but he can only cover up about one limb at a time, and using it as lasers will reduce the amount he has to use for a bit. The darkness is still basically impenetrable, but he can't move it fast enough to really do more than protect one part of his body, and while it will protect against cuts or bites it won't stop him from being hit so hard he flies into walls.
-He won't have his butterflies at all.
-He'll retain his usual non/upper human levels of agility, speed, durability, stamina, and healing.

Provide 3 threads of you playing the character elsewhere.
A few Sabra threads to give you a general idea of his character:
- Thread of Ticky killing Dean Winchester! (Warning for torture and etc). (Slick hadn't killed anyone in a while and he was having a bad week so he basically decided to go about it in a diplomatic manner and murder someone as a 'quest'... which is to say Dean still died horribly but he got food for his team out of it.)
- Being a derpy villain with Hirohiko. (Hirohiko was very cranky that he couldn't hurt Slick, so he gave Allen a quest to punch Slick in the balls. He succeeded, but Slick found out about it and came back for revenge.)
- Accidentally tases boyfriend in the dark, then shows up later to console Allen as he has gotten stuck in his black "Noah" skin and is a bit distraught about it. (Slick was in a MOOD and tased someone at random, it turned out to be Allen. Whoops! He showed up later to chat with Allen to find Allen had gotten stuck in his 'black' mode and was having some sanity issues. Hung around to cheer him up a bit.)

Survey:

Introduce yourself in a few sentences.
You can call me Slick. I'm in a good mood now so I'll warn you fairly that I'm not a very good person. But if you can deal with that I think we should get along fine.

Describe yourself physically.
Brown hair, short. Blue eyes...? Tall, I guess.

What was your childhood like?
Poor, but otherwise not bad. If you could eat, it was a good day, and since I lived I must have had more good days than most.

Who is most important to you, and why?
Who knows, now? Myself, I suppose.

What's your biggest pet peeve?
Preaching.

Do you consider yourself an optimist or a pessimist? Why?
Does anyone ever really consider themselves either of those? One means you see the world better than it is, and one means you see it worse. But unless you're an idiot however you see the world is what is 'real' to you. I'm a realist, like everyone else.

Where, or how, did you learn your most important skills?
You could say they were given to me.

Do you think world peace is possible?
No. And if it ever happened people would get so bored they'd murder each other just for sport.

Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I don't see much point in arguing.

What turns you on the most?
Really? Yes? Well then... I challenge you to find something I wouldn't enjoy.

Anything else you'd like to say?
I think that was plenty.
